Pros
Gentle, affectionate temperament suits a wide range of owners including seniors and apartment dwellers
Minimal shedding makes the breed a practical choice for households sensitive to dog hair
Adaptable and sociable — settles well with families, couples, and single owners alike
Generally healthy crossbreed with a long expected lifespan of 12 to 16 years
Cons
Coat requires daily brushing and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks — ongoing commitment and cost
Prone to separation anxiety; does not suit owners who are regularly away from home
Shih Tzu heritage introduces stubbornness around house training, requiring patience and consistency
Small, delicate frame makes the breed unsuitable for households with very young or boisterous children
