💔 This is a heartbreaking surrender. Alfie and Muffin been given up due to their owner facing serious and life-limiting health circumstances. She is no longer able to care for them. This decision has been made with love and responsibility, putting the dogs’ future first.
🐶🐶 Alfie and Muffin would love to stay together. At first we thought they are not so bonded, but still we feel they would benefit of being together. They are such a loving, friendly and easy going dogs so it's just a pure joy to have 2 lovely dogs together.
💙🐶 ALFIE
🐾 Alfie is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu cross, small in size (about 6-7kg), a gentle senior boy who has spent most of his life in a calm bungalow environment. He is affectionate, loyal and deeply people-oriented, happiest when close to his human. Despite his age, he does have energy and enjoys strutting his stuff on his walks. Recently we have discovered he has a heart murmur. He had a heart scan and vets confirmed that he has mitral valve disease (thickening of one of the valves which causes leakage) but currently does not need medication. He will need yearly monitoring and in future may need to go on medication. Despite this, you would never have noticed anything as he is active and happy boy so condition definitely doesn't affect him.. Alfie does suffer with a little bit of separation anxiety but this is getting better.

🐾 Alfie enjoys walks, a lap to cuddle on, and sleeping on the bed. He is fully housetrained, slightly pulls on the lead, and can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly with kindness.
❤️🐶 MUFFIN
🐾 Muffin is a 6-year-old Cockapoo cross, small in size (around 6-7 kg), with has a sweet loving, active and playful nature. She loves walks, movement and engagement.
She is full of love and loves a good belly rub. She has shown some interest in playing with a ball but prefers human interaction. Often taps you with her paw to let you know she wants fuss!

🐾 Muffin is housetrained, social, and friendly with other dogs. Her recall is not reliable, so she enjoys walks on lead and time in secure fields. She would suit a more active home, possibly with children or another playful dog, where her energy and enthusiasm are welcomed.
🐾🐾 These two dogs have been deeply loved and cared for. They are victims of sudden, painful circumstances beyond anyone’s control.
🐾🐾 Both enjoy going on walks. Muffin needs to learn she can't just run on the lead but believe this is just excitement as probably has not been walked in a while. This has improved and she now walks well after settling in to the walk.
🐾🐾 Both can react and bark to other dogs on walks but are currently fostered with 2 mini dachshunds and get on well so I believe with gentle introduction could live with another dog.
🩺 Health Information
🐾🐾 Both dogs are neutered and housetrained. Both had dental treatment. Both had full veterinary assessment and have restarted their vaccinations.
