Description Meet wilf. I have recently taken this dog from a lady where he wasn't getting enough of what he needed. I have onlv had him 3 and a half weeks and would keep him except he is reactive towards my cat. I have been working with him over the past 3 weeks and he is a different dog to the one i got. He is such a quick learner. I'll start with Wilf's negatives first. 1. He can be reactive to other dogs. Not aggressive just barking although he is much better off the lead than on. At the beginning he would bark and lunge at all dogs but now it is just odd ones he isn't keen on and most he will walk past without any reaction. 2. He doesn't like cats so a home worth no cat is essential. 3. He is quite strong and pulls a little when we first set off on a walk but after a little while he walks along side me without any issues.
4. Barks when the door bell goes.
Now for Wilf's positives of which there are plenty.
1. I let him off the lead after just 3 days and he comes back really well and has good recall and responds well to his name.
2. He loves a ball and will happily play fetch for as long as you want and brings the ball back to you.
3. He is very loving. Just wants to sleep on your bed and sit next to vour on the sofa.
4. No aggression with my other whippet and hasn't been since day 1 when he first came here.
5. He loves to run with my other whippet, happily playing, chasing our mooching around the woods.
6. He absolutely loves going for a walk.
7. He travels quietly in the car in a fabric crate. (He wasn't like this when I got him as he wasn't used to the car). But now he is happy in the car and will jump in himself.
8. He settles really well after a walk and like most whippets will sleep for long periods of time.
9. He will eat almost anything for breakfast and tea.
10. He is good in shops, cafes etc.
11. He is great with people and children.
Wilf was born on new years day in 2023. He is 22 inch and has the most beautiful markings. He is up to date with vaccines and worming. His ideal home would be one without a cat. If u are lucky enough to have vour own land or live on a farm. or just have a large garden, wilf would be in his element. He loves being in my garden and running up and down the lawn. I won't let him go without finding out about the home he is going to and I will be asking lots of questions. Ideally he needs to be with someone who is retired or works from home. He can be left for short periods and after a few minutes barking he happily goes and gets into his bed. If u think u can offer Wilf the home he deserves then please message me for more details. I have videos of wilf playing with my girl which I can share with vou. I want this new home to be his forever home where he can get the love and attention he so deserves.
It is unfortunately not an option to go back to the home he came from.
