Description

WILSON – A Gentle, Affection-Loving Boy Looking for a Calm, Understanding Home Wilson was rescued in Cyprus as a baby of 6 months and flew to his current home in Mold, Wales at around a year old. He is a hound mix who weighs around 27kg. Wilson is a deeply affectionate dog who forms strong bonds once he feels safe. When he trusts you, he’s a total sofa-snuggler and would happily spend the day curled up beside you, soaking up all the love. Indoors he is calm, settled and content to relax, making him a lovely presence in the home. Outside, Wilson has a playful side and enjoys stretching his legs in open spaces. He absolutely loves chasing his frisbee — although returning it isn’t really his strong point! He’s more about the joy of the chase than the fetch itself 😄 Wilson walks beautifully on the lead when it’s quiet. He can become excited and reactive when he sees other dogs, particularly at the start of a walk, but with calm handling and distraction he does settle. Off lead, he enjoys playing with other dogs, although he can get a bit over-excited and benefits from gentle time-outs to help him calm himself. He is excellent around food — no begging, stealing or guarding — and is fully house trained, crate trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. He can be left for a few hours without distress and does not suffer from separation anxiety. Wilson is brilliant with familiar people and has been lovely with the children in his current home, however he is a sensitive, easily spooked boy. For this reason, he would be best suited to a quieter, adult-only home with minimal unexpected noise or activity, where he can truly relax and feel secure. Wilson is being rehomed through absolutely no fault of his own. Sadly, despite time and patience, he has not been able to feel safe around one member of his current household and is living in a constant state of anxiety. His family love him dearly and want him to have the calm, peaceful life he deserves. Wilson would thrive in: • A calm, adult-only home • Experienced or understanding adopters • A quiet environment with predictable routines • Someone willing to let him build trust at his own pace In the right home, Wilson will be an incredibly loyal, loving companion who gives his whole heart to “his person”. If you’re looking for a gentle soul to share quiet days, cosy evenings and meaningful bonds, Wilson could be your perfect match 🐾💛 If you think you could be Wilson’s person, please get in touch It would be a great help if you could when contacting us provide a little information as follows: 1. Where in the country you live? 2. A little about your experience with dogs. 3. A brief description of your garden and height of fencing at its lowest point? 4. Details of the other dog or dogs in your home? 5. Any other pets? 6. Ages of any children in your home or who may visit? 7. Time a dog might be left alone each day and how they will fit into your lifestyle. 8. Your best contact number so that we can call you. He has been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Minimum adoption donation of £300 applies. ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO A SATISFACTORY APPLICATION AND HOME CHECK. Post adoption support is available from our rescue. Our rescue must be informed at any time of a change in circumstances. Wilson must never be handed over to any UK Rescue or sold or adopted on without our knowledge. We will always endeavour to rehome our dogs when necessary.
