Description
FOREST IS IN THE CARE OF LURCHER LINK RESCUE
Forest is a 9-month-old male brindle lurcher
đź’šForest is currently about 23" to the shoulder but still growing. He'll be quite a chunky lad once full-grown, probably about 26" to the shoulder.
đź’šForest is very friendly with all people.
đź’šForest is very friendly with other dogs and would be best rehomed where there is a steady older dog to learn from.
‼Forest is a typical lurcher youngster - very bouncy, can be quite full-on and plays quite roughly at the moment. He needs regular time in a secure area (garden or hired secure dog-field) to burn off energy, and would be best in an experienced home with lots of routine.
❓Forest has previously lived with cats, but did chase and pounce on them - but we think that was typical lurcher rough-play rather than trying to harm them. It's possible that Forest could live with a VERY CONFIDENT DOG-SAVVY cat if also with experienced owners who are willing and able to carefully supervise interactions.
❌ No young children - Forest is still quite mouthy. It's quite normal for lurchers to be "land sharks" at this age, (it is not aggression, but usually due to a combination of teenage hormones, lack of impulse control, overtiredness or overstimulation) but we will not rehome him with young children for this reason.
