šŸ¾ Dutch Herder x German Shepherd ā€“ 6 Month Old Female Looking for the Right Home I am looking for a very special, experienced home for my beautiful 6-month-old female Dutch Herder x German Shepherd (Nova). This is a very difficult decision and she is only being re-homed through no fault of her own. Due to a significant change in my personal circumstances, including my relationship breaking down, having to move back in with family and leaving my job, I am no longer in a position to provide her with the time, space, training and lifestyle that a high-drive working breed needs and deserves. She is a fantastic young dog with so much potential, and my priority is finding her a home where she can truly thrive rather than keeping her when I know I cannot currently give her the life she deserves. She comes from a working-breed background. She is a Dutch Herder x German Shepherd, and her mother also carries Presa Canario. This was introduced into the line with the intention of supporting a strong, capable structure and reducing some of the health concerns commonly associated with shepherd lines, although, as with any dog, there are no guarantees regarding future health. Because of her breeding and temperament, I am looking specifically for someone with previous experience owning and handling Dutch Shepherds, German Shepherds or other high-drive working breeds. Ideally, I would love her to go to someone who already owns or has previously owned a similar breed and genuinely understands the commitment involved. She needs an owner who understands that these dogs require much more than simply being walked. She will need consistent training, structure, mental stimulation, physical exercise, enrichment and a sense of purpose. Someone who enjoys training and wants to build a strong relationship with their dog would be ideal. At only 6 months old, she is still very much a puppy and has plenty of learning and development ahead of her. With the right guidance, I believe she has the potential to become an incredibly loyal, driven and capable adult dog. I am not looking for the quickest sale or just anyone who is interested. Finding the right home is far more important to me than the money. I will be asking questions about experience, lifestyle, training and the environment she would be going into because I want to be completely confident that she is going to someone who understands what they are taking on. This is an extremely hard decision, but I am making it because I love her and want what is best for her. Experienced homes only, please.
