Lovely Layla is a 11-month-old whirlwind of fun and mischief who is looking for her forever home.
She's a playful girl with a curious nature. Whether she's launching herself after a laser pen, chasing toys ☄️🧸 across the room or accidentally tripping over her own paws, Layla keeps everyone around her laughing with her silly doofus personality.
Layla is a lively gal who is already showing an interest in the great outdoors and would love a home where she can safely explore once she has settled in.
She gets on well with the resident cats in her foster home, although she did need some time to adjust when she first arrived. For this reason, Layla could happily live as an only cat, soaking up all the attention or with a friendly resident male cat, following a slow and sensible introduction. Because of her energetic and sometimes boisterous nature, Layla would be best suited to a home with older children or adults.
After a busy day full of mischief, Layla loves nothing more than snuggling up with her humans in bed. Just be warned, she does have a taste for toes and can't always resist a playful pounce on any feet peeking out from under the duvet!

and is currently in foster in Toxteth

Layla came in to us as an older feral kitten with severe calici virus. She has had extensive treatment and has been treated with a long term course if anti-viral medication which she has responded well to. This treatment has now finished. Layla has been left with mild gingivitis which does not cause her any issues. If this was to worsen at any point in the future, the Sanctuary would be happy to undertake tooth extraction of affected teeth at our HQ site in Melling with our dental vet. This is not currently needed and it is advised that it isn't performed on cats younger than 2 years old.
