Meet Prince our handsome young lad. Prince arrived with us in November 2024 after he was picked up as a stray and nobody came forward to claim him.
We really don’t know why as he’s a lovely boy. He walks well on the lead once he’s settled into his stride and seems comfortable walking with other Akitas. He can get a bit squeaky and giddy when he sees smaller dogs out walking so for this reason we would only consider a home with a large breed, spayed female, following successful introductions.
Prince is food motivated which will help with his ongoing training. He knows how to sit and give double paw but has lots more still to learn.
Prince enjoys a run around the enclosure at kennels and enjoys a little jog when out on his walks, if you are feeling a little energetic too. He would make a good little walking companion for someone who opens the home and heart up to him. He likes to enjoy a game of chase and will show off his Akita zoomies, he also likes a toy to be thrown for him to follow, but don’t expect him to bring it back.
As Prince is a stray we are looking to place him in a home either without children or with children over 12 years of age.
