This is Hendric our bichon frise, who’s approximately 3 1/2. He is a beloved family pet who lives with children and cats, and we have had him since he was a pup. This is an incredibly reluctant sale and we all love him dearly but with young children and no garden, it’s becoming too much.
Hendric is the most gentle of pets and our cats are his best friends. He only requires short walks, but he is capable of walking remarkable distances with ease - we’ve had him up mountains and he loves the outdoors. He’s incredibly sociable and loves meeting other dogs and people.
We are needing to rehome him as unfortunately he does have some behavioural issues that we are unequipped to deal with. He has severe separation anxiety and becomes very distressed when left in the house alone. If he hasn’t been walked before being left he can pee in the house. He may benefit from crate training. We believe he needs a home with someone who is home most of the time and has experience with dogs with behaviour issues.
He also struggles with being groomed and is very resistant to it - we’ve never managed to keep him as picture perfect as some bichons we have seen around. He likes the company of cats and other dogs and although gentle and loving with kids as with all people, would possibly prefer a home without them where he can be the centre of attention.
He is currently unneutred as we initially planned on studding him out as he is a pure bichon. We would take considerably less for him for the right home.
