This is a very reluctant decision as I will be leaving the UK and sadly cannot take him with me. He is being rehomed through no fault of his own.
Beautiful DNA-sexed male Green-winged Macaw (Ara chloropterus), hatched on 14 August 2023. He has a friendly, confident character and is comfortable stepping onto the hand, as shown in the photos.
I am looking for a responsible, experienced home that understands the space, daily interaction, enrichment and long-term commitment required by a large macaw. Please include information about your experience with large parrots, your home setup and daily routine when enquiring.
DNA sexing report, hatch certificate and closed-ring documentation are available for genuine buyers to inspect and will be transferred with him. Full certificate and ring numbers are not posted publicly.
£2,800 ONO. The complete setup includes his large cage, play stand, toys and accompanying accessories.
Viewing and collection in Milton Keynes is preferred. After an in-person viewing, personal delivery to other areas may be possible by prior arrangement, with reasonable travel costs covered by the buyer. No courier shipping.
