Description

Shiloh is a 5 year old medium male dog. He arrived at the UK kennels in 2024 and has resided here ever since. He has shared a kennel with multiple dogs in his time here and has been fine however, he does redirect if there are dogs going down the line and guards his food. Shiloh can live with other dogs pending successful meets, he has no preference of gender, he prefers a playful dog that will respect his space and his boundaries. Shiloh is a redirection risk, he is being muzzle trained and has worn one while being on a walk, and being introduced to volunteers. Shiloh's redirection risk has minimized greatly and is a minor concern currently. He can be distracted from triggers with treats. Shiloh has is a good boy at the vets, he is nervous and tries to shrink but doesn't attempt to bite. He is anxious travelling in the car. Shiloh has bitten a staff member in the kennels when she entered his kennel, however, she was new and was advised not to go in but went in anyway, this bite could have been avoided. Shiloh walks nicely on the lead and will accept a harness and lead, he enjoys going on group walks and has no issues being around other dogs or traffic, his reactivity is only directed towards strangers but he is improving on this. He is relatively clean in his kennel and non-destructive, he doesn't show any signs of separation anxiety. Shiloh needs a child and cat free home as he has a prey drive. He can live with other dogs. Shiloh is a very sweet and affectionate boy, he loves the staff at the kennels and is a nervous boy at heart who needs to gain trust in strangers.
