Visually, he is a gorgeous, big, stocky boy—our adorable Mini Hippo—but his past has left him incredibly fragile. When he first arrived in rescue, he was so terrified that he suffered from severe panic attacks 💔 when strangers approach, this gentle soul cowers and shakes in absolute fear. Chamo asks for so little in return for his vulnerability. He is a naturally quiet, lazy boy who spends his days wishing for a peaceful place to rest. On walks, he is an absolute dream, strolling calmly by your side with zero pulling, and he shows his polite nature by never jumping up or licking faces. He is already house and crate-trained, and remarkably free of any health conditions or allergies. He just needs a quiet chilled home without children where he can finally let his guard down.
