Guinea pigs do not do well on their own and males should be kept as pairs but you need a baby boy to add to an adult and they must be pre-puberty. We will soon have a couple of 6-8 week old baby boys the perfect age for bonding with an adult male - bonding at this age is incredibly successful because the dominance hierarchy is instantly determined by the size and age difference and extremely unlikely to get challenged as the baby gets older.
