❤️ Goonie – 3yo Red & White Cob Gelding ❤️

It is with a very heavy heart that I am offering my beautiful boy Goonie for sale. This is an absolutely heartbreaking decision, but unfortunately I simply cannot afford to keep him.
Goonie is a stunning red and white cob with the most wonderful temperament. He is an incredibly calm, kind and docile youngster who genuinely has not a nasty bone in his body. He is the sort of horse that makes you smile every time you see him.
He is very much a dope-on-a-rope type and is exceptionally unflappable for his age. Living on our smallholding, he is used to all sorts of machinery and activity and is completely unfazed. In fact, he will quite happily try to stand in the telehandler bucket if given the opportunity! 😂
He is excellent to lead, loves people and attention, and will always come over to the gate to see you. He is affectionate, friendly and enjoys being around people.
Goonie has had the basics done with him, including leading and having tack on, but I have deliberately not pushed him or done too much at such a young age. My 6-year-old has sat on him and he wasn't fazed one bit. He has taken everything in his stride.
He is therefore being offered as a lovely blank canvas for someone to bring on and put their own stamp on. I think he has the potential to make someone a fantastic horse in the future.
He is used to being both stabled and living out. He lives out in good weather and comes in when the weather is bad. He is also happy to be rugged and I rug him when it is cold and wet.
He isn't quite perfect for the farrier yet and needs to learn to hold his feet up for longer, but he is not nasty or malicious at all — he simply needs more time and patience to develop his balance and understanding.
Goonie is a very special boy, and I genuinely believe he will go on to be something really rather wonderful. His age, size, temperament and willingness make him an exciting prospect for someone looking for a youngster to grow and develop with.
A genuinely special home is absolutely essential. This is a heartbreaking sale and I would love to keep in touch and receive updates on him. He means a lot to us and I want to know that he has gone to the right person.
