Live Bearers Fish for sale in Woking, Surrey

The Guppy, also known as Millionfish or Rainbow Fish, originates from northeast South America including Trinidad, Barbados, Guyana, Venezuela, and Brazil. These small fish measure 3-6 cm, with males showcasing vibrant colours and extravagant tail fins, while females are larger and more subdued. Guppies are peaceful and social but males may chase females persistently. They are ideal for beginners and suit community tanks, thriving in well-planted tanks of at least 20 litres. Maintaining a tank temperature between 22-28°C with a pH of 7.0-8.0 is essential in the UK due to cooler ambient temperatures. Guppies are omnivores, enjoying flakes, micro-pellets, and live foods. Other popular livebearers in the UK include Platies and Swordtails; however, guppies remain the cheapest and easiest to find, commonly under searches like "guppies for sale near me" or "guppy fish price pets at home." Their prolific breeding and adaptability make them a favourite for UK aquarists seeking vibrant, low-maintenance tropical fish with a lively temperament and suitability for beginner to community aquariums.
