The distinctive Sphynx cat is recognized for its hairless coat and elegant, muscular physique. Originating from Canada, the Sphynx is known for its exposed skin which can appear in various colors and patterns including white, black, red, chocolate, lavender and more. The breed, also referred to as the Canadian Hairless, is praised for its sociable and playful nature.Despite their lack of fur, Sphynxes maintain a warm body temperature that is higher than most cats. Fearlessly friendly, they crave human interaction and engagement, forming strong bonds with their families. Sphynxes are highly intelligent, marked by their curiosity and exploration instincts. Potential owners should note that a Sphynx’s exposed skin requires regular bathing to clean oil buildup.
