F1B Goldendoodles (75% Poodle, 25% Golden Retriever) offer curlier, wavy, low-shedding coats ideal for allergy sufferers. F1BB Goldendoodles (87.5% Poodle) provide the most hypoallergenic, non-shedding coats with very curly textures and minimal dander. Over the years, Goldendoodles have become one of the most popular designer breeds, which is understandable given their good looks and charming, loyal nature. Available in three sizes—standard Goldendoodles (60-100 pounds), miniature Goldendoodles, and toy Goldendoodles—these intelligent dogs are friendly, eager to please, and highly trainable, making them excellent for first-time dog owners. While not recognized as a breed by the Kennel Club (as of September 2017), many breed clubs have been formed both here in the UK and elsewhere in the world to ensure these handsome dogs continue to be bred responsibly. Grooming needs vary by generation: F1 Goldendoodles require regular brushing and professional grooming, while F1B, F1BB, and Multigen varieties need daily brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to prevent matting in their curlier, low-shedding coats. With moderate to high energy levels requiring 30-60 minutes of daily exercise, Goldendoodles thrive in active families.
