The Goldendoodle, also known as Groodle or Golden Doodle, is a popular cross between a Golden Retriever and a Standard or Miniature Poodle, both pure breeds. F1B Goldendoodles (75% Poodle, 25% Golden Retriever) offer curlier, wavy, low-shedding coats ideal for allergy sufferers. F1BB Goldendoodles (87.5% Poodle) provide the most hypoallergenic, non-shedding coats with very curly textures and minimal dander. Over the years, Goldendoodles have become one of the most popular designer breeds, which is understandable given their good looks and charming, loyal nature. Grooming needs vary by generation: F1 Goldendoodles require regular brushing and professional grooming, while F1B, F1BB, and Multigen varieties need daily brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to prevent matting in their curlier, low-shedding coats. With moderate to high energy levels requiring 30-60 minutes of daily exercise, Goldendoodles thrive in active families.
