Jack Chi Puppies for sale in Leighton Buzzard, Central Bedfordshire

The Jack Chi, also known as the Jackahuahua or Jackhuahua, is a lively small crossbreed created by mixing a Jack Russell Terrier with a Chihuahua. First bred in the late 20th century, this charming hybrid became popular across the UK for combining the Jack Russell’s boundless energy with the Chihuahua’s loving temperament. Compact and sturdy, Jack Chis usually weigh between 8 and 18 lbs (4–8 kg) and stand around 10 to 15 inches (25–38 cm) tall, with smooth or slightly coarse coats in colours like tan, black, cream, or brindle.

Bright, affectionate, and full of personality, the Jack Chi is perfect for active British households seeking a loyal companion. They’re alert and make excellent little watchdogs, though early training helps control barking. A daily walk, playtime, and mental stimulation keep them happy and balanced. With an average lifespan of 13 to 18 years and minimal grooming needs—just a weekly brush—they’re both hardy and low-maintenance. Typically priced between £150 and £1,200 in the UK, the Jack Chi offers a wonderful mix of spirit, devotion, and charm in a small package.
