Jackshund Puppies for sale in Eastbourne, East Sussex

The Jackshund, also known by nicknames such as Jackweenie, is a delightful mixed breed dog originating from the United Kingdom, formed by crossing the Jack Russell Terrier with the Dachshund. This breed typically weighs between 12 to 28 pounds and measures around 8 to 13 inches in height, showcasing a blend of physical traits from both parents, including a variety of coat lengths and colours. Jackshunds are known for their lively, energetic, and playful temperament, making them affectionate and loyal companions. They inherit a strong prey drive and intelligence, which means they require consistent, patient training and ample mental and physical exercise. Their suitability lies mainly with active households or individuals who can meet their exercise needs, though they can adapt to apartment life if given sufficient activity. Jackshunds may not be ideal for homes with small pets due to their hunting instincts. Overall, the Jackshund is a fun, devoted family pet with a lifespan of 12 to 16 years, suitable for those prepared to invest time in their care and training.
