Miniature Dachshund Puppies for sale in Bangor, Ards and North Down

Miniature Dachshunds are compact, noteworthy for their playful personality and unique 'sausage dog' silhouette. Standard and miniature are the two size variations, with Miniatures weighing under 12 pounds. Known for three types of coats: short/smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired, presenting in a variety of hues: black, red, chocolate, and cream. Their elongated body and keen sense of smell testify to their historic role as German badger hunters. Investing time in training these intelligent dogs can establish a rewarding bond, despite their notorious stubborn streak. Miniature Dachshunds are social, making them suitable for families and fellow pet integration. Their small size is beneficial for city living, but don't mistake this for lack of energy - they require regular exercise for mental stimulation and weight management.
