The English Lop, one of the oldest lop-eared rabbit breeds, originated in England and is well-known for its extraordinary long ears, often exceeding 21 inches in length. This large breed typically weighs between 9-11 lbs and has a slender, arched body with a short, dense coat available in various colours. Known by some simply as Lop rabbits or Lop bunnies, English Lops are celebrated for their calm, gentle, and affectionate temperament, making them excellent pets for families with older children. Their ears require special care as they are prone to injury and infection, necessitating a safe environment and regular cleaning.
