8 month old male German shepherd for rehome
He is well trained and well behaved, friendly with other dogs, has only seen cats on the streets and was curious so can’t say much about that but he was raised with a parakeet so he has low to no prey drive
He is a gentle, loving soul, will try to sit on your lap even if he doesn’t fit, can’t get enough love and very excitable
He knows a range of commands:
Sit, lie down, paw, spin, middle (stood or sat between your feet facing forward and can walk like this), guard (stood between your feet facing backwards), jump, settle(to calm him down), gentle (if around small dogs), he doesn’t bite and will happily play with toys all day or lie around your feet and cuddle.
He also knows “get it’ to retrieve something, “bring it” and “leave it”, he will sit at his food bowl and wait for command “eat” to eat, he is very intelligent and always wanting to learn more
He is good on leash and off leash, he doesn’t run off as he’s learnt boundary - to not go to far away and return if he hits his limit, as he’s still a baby he still has his moments were he gets overexcited or distracted
He likes to help with anything - if he thinks he’s helping he gets excited, following a mop around, following a brush around, is really good around sudden or loud noises and vacuum cleaners
He has separation anxiety and potty issues over it, he needs someone who’s equipped to handle his anxiety ideally someone who is able to have him around them most of the time
