I am a hobbyist breeder of Syrian hamsters but don't do more than 3 litters a year. I have a particular interest in their genetics -colours, patterns and coat types and my careful pairings ensure that no lethal genes are carried into the line. Pet shops may use rodent mills to stock their shops and buying from an experienced breeder means you will get a well cared for pet who is used to being handled.
