I have lived with my husband on our National Trust farm for over thirty years, and ever since childhood I have always kept Labradors. To me, they are the finest of all breeds.
Over the years I have seen every stage of Labrador life — the exuberant youngsters, the dependable middle years, and the dignified old souls they become in later life. While many people admire Labradors for their friendly nature, long-term owners come to appreciate their deeper qualities: their steadiness, emotional sensitivity, loyalty, and constant desire simply to be part of everyday family life.
Their outgoing nature and unwavering companionship make them, in my view, truly incomparable dogs.
