It is important when buying a kitten that you check you are buying from a PKD Negative home also VERY IMPORTANT ask to see the registration cards of mother and father. The mum and dad should be on the active register this means they are suitable for breeding. If they are registered as NON-ACTIVE there is often a reason why they should not be bred from. This is stated clearly on cards. If you follow these guidelines and are happy with the breeder you are working with your well on the way to choosing a healthy happy kitten.
