Description
Raven is 8 months old. We got Raven at 8 weeks old for a support companion for my son who has autism/adhd. Unfortunately shes not bonding with my son and although shes happy to play with him, she also trys to avoid him alot of the time too.
This has been an issue since the day we collected her from her breeder. She was trying to avoid the breeders child and didnt like her picking her up so this should have been a red flag for us then but just thought Raven had had enough of being there. After consulting with a dog trainer it seems Raven has ptsd/trauma from something at the breeders and because of that cant trust children fully. If my son has friends round or my son is struggling we have to put Raven in the kitchen to give her a safe space as she starts to get stressed. This is no life for her and she deserves so much more than what we are giving her.
We have tried so hard to make her more comfortable around my son and groups of children but it's unfortunately just not working out so we have made the absolutely heartbreaking decision to do what's best for Raven and find her a more suitable home to ensure she has the happiest home and life.
We are seeking a home that has teenagers and above or just adults. Experience with rotties or large dogs is a preference.
Raven does require more training. She walks good on the lead but is reactive towards other dogs currently but has got better with her training. Patience will be needed while she was to settle into a new home so she can build trust with her new owners. She currently lives with our other dog and 4 cats. My daughters dog also comes to stay who she loves playing with. If you have cats or another dog it would take time for her to adjust to this. I am home most of the time so she wouldn't suit new owners who would leave her for long periods of time. She enjoys stimulation and company. A garden is a must as she loves being outside. She also loves a good run around a secure dog field.She is so well behaved on all other aspects. New owners would need the time, patience and commitment for her. So please only enquire if you can offer her this and the extremely loving home she deserves. We will not let her go to anything less.
Raven is an absolutely stunning example of the Rottweiler breed and is KC registered. I would be happy to transfer this but please note this would be an ADDITIINAL cost of £150. This is to also ensure she is going to the right home.
