OLIVE GIVES THE BEST BIG SLOPPY KISSES… SO WHY IS SHE STILL IN KENNELS? If you meet Olive, there’s a very good chance you’re going to get a big sloppy kiss. Because behind this rather impressive 40kg exterior is a great-natured girl who absolutely loves people. Olive is around 3 years old and currently living in kennels in Jedburgh, Scotland. She’s safe. She’s cared for. But she still doesn’t really know what it feels like to have a home of her own. And that’s the bit we desperately want to change. We want Olive to discover sofas. Her own garden. Someone coming home and being genuinely pleased to see her. We want her to know what it feels like to have her own person to follow around, someone to give those enormous kisses to and somewhere she can finally think, this is mine. I belong here. Because Olive has so much affection to give. She’s a big, strong girl, so she does need someone confident who has experience with large-breed dogs. We also believe Olive would be happiest as the only dog in her home, where she can have her humans all to herself. She needs to be the only pet and will need somewhere she can be safely exercised away from other dogs. We know that means Olive isn’t going to fit into every home. But she doesn’t need to. She just needs to fit into one. One home with no other pets. One person with large-dog experience. One person who sees 40kg of Olive and thinks the sloppy kisses are actually a bonus. And most importantly, one person willing to show a dog who is currently living in kennels just how lovely ordinary home life can be.
