2 Female Conures (DNA tested with certificates). Both under a year old - around 8/9 months.
I am looking for a new home for my conures, Connie (pineapple) and Claudia (turquoise). They are bonded so must be homed together, they are always side by side so I do not want them separated!
They spend most of their time out of the cage and will return to their cage at night to sleep. They must go to someone who is able to allow them that out of cage time - they won't be happy kept in a cage permanently - and they will let you know it! Their wings are not clipped (and shouldn't be - please get a hamster if you want something that doesn't fly and stays in a cage) and they love having a fly around the house.
They are fed a diet of parrot mix and fruit/veg. They love their blueberries, strawberries and apples the most!
They are not tame. Connie will take food from my hand and occasionally lands on me (usually my head or glasses) but they generally stay away from people. Claudia is more nervous than Connie and will make a LOT of noise if you get too close - therefore they must go to an experienced home, someone who is aware of how noisy conures can be! Although they make absolutely no noise at night, they don't disturb sleep, it's only if you approach too close and too fast that Claudia will sound the alarm!
They are beautiful birds, I just don't have the time for them due to a new job. They need an experienced home, with people who have the time for them, will keep them together and can give them the space to fly. I'm not in a rush so will wait in order to find the right home.
