Dot is a beautiful 2yo female British Shorthair looking for a very special new home. Dot is an extremely timid and nervous girl and would suit someone who understands that she will need plenty of time, patience and space to settle. Her previous home was quite busy, with other cats, a dog and various small animals, and her previous owner felt that she would benefit from a much quieter environment. Since moving to me, Dot has found the change very difficult and has spent a lot of time hiding. She does come out and explore when the house is quiet, particularly at night, but she is still very nervous around people and can be easily frightened. She has also shown a tendency to look for ways out, so she would need a secure home where she can be kept safely indoors while she settles. I am an experienced cat owner, but I have come to realise that Dot needs a different type of home and someone who has the time and patience to allow her to build confidence entirely at her own pace. She is a very pretty girl and, because she is a British Shorthair, I am particularly keen that she goes to someone who genuinely wants to give her a loving home and understands the breed and her timid nature, rather than someone interested in her simply because of her appearance. Dot is: 2 years old Female Spayed Microchipped Vaccinations up to date (2026 due) She will need a quiet, calm home with someone who is prepared to be patient and allow her to settle without pressure. I would prefer a home without lots of noise or disruption. This is not a decision I have made lightly, but I genuinely believe Dot deserves to be somewhere that is the right fit for her. I will want to ask questions about any potential home and make sure she is going to someone who will give her the time, patience and security she needs. Please only get in touch if you are genuinely able to offer Dot the kind of home described above. £150 rehoming fee. This is not about recovering the money I paid for Dot; my priority is finding her the right home. I am happy to ask questions and would prefer someone local to Suffolk/Essex so I can be confident she is going to the right person.
