Full Advert Details

2 African Pygmy Hedgehog babies for sale. One dark grey Female. One dark grey piebald Male. They where born on the 30th of August and will be ready for collection on the 30th of October.
They are from a small litter of two meaning the mum has been able to spoil them rotten.
I do not allow visits to see your hoglet as this will cause stress to the mum. But I am more than happy to send you as many photos and videos as you want/need to cure your hoglet cravings.
When you come to pick your hoglet up i will talk you through what to do when you get your hoglet home and give you a care pack with all the information you need to get your hogley settled. You can also see the parents if you wish too. If you ever need any advice or have any questions after you have take your hoglet home I will allways message/email you back and help you to the best of my knowledge.

I sell healthy hoglets bred from parents with no history of any genetic diseases in their liniage and which are registered with the African Pygmy Hedgehog Club. (This means their healthy liniage can be traced back all the way to their great great great grandparents!)
All my hoglets are handled from when they are 3 weeks old. This gets them used to being picked up so they are nice and friendly. The hoglets are available to be taken home when they are 8 weeks old providing they are the correct weight and are healthy.
Each hoglet comes with a bag of high quality food that the hoglet has been fed on, a hand made snuggle sack (this will have the scent of their mum on to help them not get too stressed from the move), some puppy pads and some toys for them to play with. Your hoglet will also be registered to the African Pygmy Hedgehog Club free of charge with whatever name you'd like.
Each hedgehog costs £125 and we ask a minumum of £50 deposit to reserve each hoglet. If you are interested in reserving a hoglet please get in touch via the Contacts Page and we can discuss making a deposit.
HedgeHoglet is based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, from where all purchased hedgehogs must be collected via prior arrangement. The final balance of £75 is payable in cash upon collection.

Rodent Buying Checklist

Before contacting or visiting the advertiser for this Pygmy Hedgehog . Please make sure you have printed and read this checklist fully. Do NOT buy a rodent from the advertiser unless you are happy that they follow all the advice on the list.

  • Do your research first
Getting a new rodent is a massive commitment, so make sure you have researched the breed fully and have the time and commitment necessary to care for the rodent. You can read our detailed Information guide about rodents for potential new rodent owners.
  • Confirm that the advertiser is genuine
You should verify this by arranging to visit the pet at the advertisers home, if they make excuses or try to ask for money or a deposit without seeing the pet, or if the advertiser attempts to deliver the pet or meet you at any other location than their own home, then please do not agree to this. NEVER send money online for any pet. Please read our article on avoiding potential scams.
If you are unsure that the advertiser is genuine, please report them to us.
  • Is the rodent old enough to leave its mother?
The majority of Rodents must be at least 6 weeks old before they can leave their mothers, with the exception of Guinea Pigs which should be at least 3 weeks old, Degus, Hamsters and Gerbils which should be at least 4 weeks old and Chinchillas, Pygmy Hedgehogs and Sugar Gliders which should be at least 8 weeks old.
  • Check the Health of the rodent
It can be difficult for the average person to check if a pet is healthy or not, so if you decide to adopt or buy the pet, make sure that the seller agrees that you can return them within 48 hours for a full refund after taking the pet to a Vet of your choice for a health check. The seller should be willing to let you do this. If the pet has already been health checked by their own vet, make sure you get evidence for this in the form of vet records and phone their vet to confirm this.
