The Bolognese, also known as Bolognese Toy Dog, Bologneser, Bolo, Botoli, Bottolo, has become a very popular companion dog thanks to its charming looks, size, and the fact that these small dogs do not shed thanks to the texture of their flocked coats. The breed originates from northern Italy and is registered with the Kennel Club in the Toy group. They are known for their intelligence, loyalty and the fact that they are extremely adaptable and can live just as well in a large house in the country as they can in a small apartment in the city.
