Description

This is Bean, a sweet girl with a shy side and a real soft spot for a fuss! Bean was rescued from the South London colony of more than 40 cats that we have been working on, and is now getting used to the comforts of home life in foster care. She's still learning to trust people, but there's a very affectionate little girl beneath that initial uncertainty. Bean can be a little hissy when she first meets someone, but please don't let that put you off. It's simply her way of saying she's feeling unsure, rather than a sign of aggression. In fact, give her a moment, sit down and let her come to you, and she'll soon be approaching for a gentle stroke and, naturally, a treat or two! She really does enjoy affection once she feels comfortable, and letting her make the first move is the best way to win her over. Bean would suit a quieter home with someone who has the time and patience to get to know her and allow her confidence to grow. She's friendly with other cats and enjoys playing with her foster friend Asha, but she would be happiest sharing her home with calm, easy-going or more submissive feline companions rather than dominant cats. She doesn't need a busy household or lots of fuss, just a peaceful environment where she can feel secure and enjoy affection on her own terms. Bean may take a little time to settle in, but once she knows you're a friend, she'll be more than happy to come looking for her strokes and treats. She's a lovely girl who simply needs someone willing to see past that first shy little hiss and give her the chance to show them just how sweet she really is. Bean is: ✅ Vaccinated ✅ Microchipped ✅ Spayed ✅ Dewormed ✅ Blood tested (FIV-/FeLV-) ✅ Vet health checked If you can offer Bean a loving happy ever-after together, please get in touch today! We will send you a link to complete our online pre-adoption form and we will also require a home video check as part of our process. If you have any questions, please reach out and one of our small team of volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note: Every Cat Matters is an indoor-only rescue. This means all our cats should be kept in a safe, enriching indoor environment, unless they have access to a secure cat-proof garden, catio, or netted balcony. We believe cats can live full, happy lives without free roaming outdoors. Keeping them safe indoors protects them from road accidents, injuries, contagious illnesses, and territorial fights—while also helping to preserve local wildlife. With love, enrichment, and security, indoor cats truly thrive and live their longest lives.
