🐾 RARE SNOWSHOE KITTENS – BORN IN SCOTLAND 🐾
We are delighted to introduce our beautiful litter of 7 Snowshoe kittens, lovingly raised in our family home.
This gorgeous litter consists of:
🤎 2 Tabby boys
🤎 3 Seal Point girls
🤎 2 Seal Point boys
Snowshoes are a wonderfully unusual breed, instantly recognisable by their striking blue eyes, colour-point markings and distinctive white paws. They are born almost completely white, with their points developing gradually as they grow. Their colouring can continue to deepen and change for quite some time, making it exciting to watch their individual markings develop.
Snowshoes originated in the USA in the 1960s from Siamese and American Shorthair breeding. After being developed and established as a breed, they went on to gain championship recognition.
They are small-to-medium sized, athletic cats with elegant bodies, neat paws, long tails and those unmistakable piercing blue eyes. But it is their personalities that really make Snowshoes special. ❤️
They are affectionate, intelligent and incredibly people-orientated. They generally enjoy being involved in family life, are often fantastic with children and can form wonderful relationships with other cats and dogs. Their playful nature doesn't disappear when they grow up either — Snowshoes are known for remaining fun-loving and interactive throughout their lives.
Many can learn games such as fetch, enjoy learning tricks and are naturally curious about everything going on around them. They also have a gorgeous little chirping and trilling voice. They like to "chat" with their families, but their voices tend to be softer and more melodic than the typical Siamese.
Their short coats are very easy to maintain and they shed relatively little. A weekly brush is more of a luxury for ours than a necessity — although they certainly enjoy the attention! 🥰
🐾 Raised with care
Our kittens are raised in a busy family environment and become accustomed to the everyday sights and sounds of a home from an early age.
Litter training begins at around 4 weeks, when they start becoming adventurous and leaving their nesting area. They are introduced to litter trays gradually and normally become confident using them very quickly.
As they grow, their space is gradually increased so they can explore more of the home at their own pace. This helps them become confident, adaptable little cats who are comfortable with household life.
We put a huge amount of love and care into raising our kittens and take pride in producing happy, confident and well-socialised babies.
Snowshoes truly are a very special breed, and once you have lived with one, it's easy to understand why so many people end up with more than 1. ❤️
If you're looking for a kitten who wants to be part of the family rather than simply live alongside you, a Snowshoe could be the perfect companion.
