Description

❤️🐶 BLACKY – A Loving Girl Whose World Turned Upside Down and Needs Safety Now 🐶❤️ 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks free insurance provided upon adoption 🌟 Blacky arrived in the UK just five days ago, on Friday night. In that time, she has lost everything she knew — her doggy friends, her familiar rescue foster carers, her routines, and even the smells and sounds that once meant safety. She arrived believing she had finally reached home, only to face another sudden change while still trying to make sense of a completely new world. ❤️ Blacky is a 1.5-year-old upper-medium girl, possibly Labrador cross, not boisterous, with a warm, people-loving nature and a deep need for human closeness settling after a huge change in her live. She is friendly, affectionate and emotionally open — a dog who bonds strongly with people and looks to them for reassurance, especially after sudden change. ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Upper-medium (approx. 56 cm / 24 kg) • SPAYED: Yes • CHARACTER: Affectionate • Loyal • People-oriented • Sensitive • Eager to please • DOGS: Previously lived with dogs and was always dog-friendly; currently needs matching • CATS: Not tested • CHILDREN: Suitable for older, dog-savvy children 💔 Rescue Story Blacky once lived in a home and knew the comfort of her own bed, familiar faces and daily affection. When war in Ukraine broke out, her family were forced to flee their region. They took her with them during the chaos, trying to keep her safe while moving across Ukraine in search of security. But eventually they faced the reality that they could not take her abroad. They brought her to the rescue and left behind. Blacky arrived in the UK just five days ago, on Friday night, full of hope that her long journey was finally over. After surviving war, displacement and loss, she stepped into a home expecting safety and permanence. Sadly, her world has changed again far too quickly. Her foster-to-adopt family have been kind, patient and understanding, but it has become clear that this placement cannot continue. Blacky is overwhelmed, struggling to regulate her emotions, and urgently needs a new foster home. “Blackie has become very forceful in pushing Mollie (she is paraplegic) out of the way of us. We have kept them separate for feeding and made sure to only praise / fuss blackie when she is showing good behaviour but both are very stressed to the point that Blackie is struggling to come down emotionally and Mollie is becoming ill.” 🐾 More About Blacky Blacky is lovely and friendly with people. There is no aggression and only trust and affection toward humans. What she is showing is a strong need for closeness and reassurance — staying near her people, seeking affection, and finding comfort in human contact after everything she has lost. Blacky just needs to settle emotionally after a huge change in her life and needs a simpler setup so she can finally decompress and feel safe again. 🏡 What Blacky Needs Now Blacky lived with other dogs before and was friendly and playful with them, but now, temporary, she probably needs to be the only dog, at least initially, so she can learn that she is safe and does not need to compete for affection. Or she may be able to live with a confident, friendly medium or upper-medium dog, but this must be carefully assessed as other dog nature is important. Right now, priority must be given to reducing stress, restoring emotional balance, and giving her space to breathe. She needs people who can be present, calm and reassuring — not perfection, just consistency and kindness. 💞 Blacky is a loving, sensitive girl who has been asked to cope with too much, too fast. 🩺 Health Information Blacky is fully healthy, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (licensed laboratory certificate provided). 💌 If you can offer forever or foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9
