Description
đź’— About Luna
Age: approx. 5 months
Sex: Female
Breed: Cane Corso
Location: Northampton
Rehoming fee: ÂŁ1000
Luna is the sweetest, most loving, and devoted puppy you could meet. She is gentle, loyal, and deeply people-oriented — a true cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to be close to her humans. She follows her people around the house, settles beautifully once she feels safe, and will happily snuggle up beside (or on!) you whenever she gets the chance.
She is also incredibly clever and eager to learn. She loves walks, new smells, playing fetch, and her favourite toy — a purple squeaky lamb. When she’s tired, she does the most adorable little stompy spin before curling up to sleep. She has absolutely no idea how big she is and will happily try to climb onto laps for a cuddle — she’s a very big baby at heart.
Temperament & Training
•Loving, gentle, loyal
•Very affectionate and people-focused
•Intelligent and keen to learn
•Settles well and sleeps through the night
•Walks nicely on the lead with very little pulling
•Excellent early recall — stays close and checks in naturally
•Knows: sit, down, paw, spin, here, no, enough
•Responds best to calm voices, reassurance, and affection
•Food-motivated and enthusiastic (no guarding)
Like all puppies, Luna has moments of overstimulation when she’s overtired — this can look like playful jumping or nipping — but she regulates quickly with calm, consistent responses and appropriate chews. She is very receptive to guidance and learns fast.
As a guardian breed, some alert barking is normal, but she settles quickly when reassured.
Home Life
•Mostly toilet trained and improving daily
•No accidents overnight
•Not crate trained
•Sleeps close to her people and settles best nearby
•Can be left in another room for short periods once settled
•Confidence has grown hugely since coming into foster care
When Luna first arrived, she was understandably unsure due to being moved around early in life. With routine, consistency, and reassurance, she has blossomed. She will continue to gain independence with the right experienced owner.
Socialisation
•Excellent with other dogs — currently mixes well with six adult dogs
•Polite, playful, and learning quickly how to socialise
•Initially cautious with strangers but warms up fast and becomes affectionate
•Has been around teenagers and has been gentle and kind
•Open to homes with children, as long as families understand she is still a puppy with big paws and gangly legs and will need ongoing training and supervision
•Has shown interest in cats and currently wants to chase — homes with cats may be considered only if adopters fully understand she will need time, training, and support to integrate
She is never aggressive — if unsure, she will hide behind your legs rather than react.
Health & Care
•Vaccinations up to date
•Flea and worming up to date
•Microchipped (details to be confirmed prior to rehoming)
•No known health concerns
•Not spayed due to age — new home must discuss an appropriate plan with their vet
•Currently on a raw diet (food-motivated and flexible)
She travels very well in the car. She enjoys baths and grooming and tolerates handling of paws, ears, brushing, and being picked up. She is a little unsure of the hair dryer and may bark at it, but improves with reassurance.
The Home Luna Needs (Please Read Carefully)
Luna is a large, powerful guardian breed puppy who will grow into a very big dog. We are committed to ensuring she is not moved again.
We are looking for:
•Experienced large-breed or mastiff owners / previous owners only
•People who understand Cane Corso needs and development
•A home where someone is around most of the time initially
•Commitment to training, routine, and calm, consistent handling
•Space suitable for a large dog (secure garden preferred)
•Willingness to take part in meet-and-greets and a gradual transition plan
•UK-based adopters only (for visits and settling period)
Luna cannot be left alone for long periods at this stage — she is still a baby and needs a committed family while she grows and learns.
Homes without large-breed experience, or those looking for a dog that can be left all day, will not be considered.
Final Words
Luna is a truly special puppy — clever, gentle, affectionate, and deeply devoted. The kind of dog that becomes your shadow and makes you laugh daily. She deserves stability, understanding, and people who know exactly what they’re taking on and are excited by it.
If you feel you can offer Luna the forever home she deserves and are happy with a careful, gradual transition, please get in touch and tell us about your experience, lifestyle, and why you think you’d be a good match.
