Description
Ares is a 18 month old puppy, who I've had since he was 8 weeks old. He's full of personality and life, affectionate and very curious. He is a darling dog, and it pains me to have to rehome him, but there are a few behavioural issues that I've tried to manage myself, but am not making headway. Ares is my first dog, and I can't afford a trainer. In short, I'm not experienced enough with dogs to provide him with what he needs.
He barks a lot, particularly for attention, so I've been leaving the room when he does and paying him attention when he's quiet, which has helped slightly, but not solved the issue. He wants to be outside constantly, and I don't have a garden myself. Due to having no garden, he is not fully potty-trained. He knows to go outside, but if I'm not home to let him out, he will still soil indoors, and not hold it like he should. He has a lot of energy and needs to go out for walks as often as possible.
What he needs in a future owner: He needs someone who has experience with dogs and training, and I know he would benefit from the mental stimulation that comes with the training.
He needs someone who has a garden or access to an outdoor space as much as possible.
He needs someone who has a more active lifestyle than me, who will be able to take him with them as much as possible.
I really am quite sad that I have to admit that I can't provide him what he needs, and I have given it my all, but it is now affecting my mental health, and I know there must be someone out there who can do a better job than me.
He is up to date with vaccinations, microchipped, and has been defleaed and dewormed recently. He comes with a crate, harness, flexi-lead, coat, toys, remaining food (Butchers, which is his preference and other foods give him a bad stomach), months of worming and flea medication, scratch box for his nails and other accessories.
