Cane Corso Female – Experienced Homes Only ​We are looking for a new home for a very sweet but powerful female Cane Corso. Her name is Xena, she is 4 years old, and she is an amazing guard dog who is very territorial, so she needs a strong and experienced owner. Unfortunately, due to my own declining ill health, I am no longer physically able to give her the proper exercise and active lifestyle she needs, and I simply do not have the necessary experience or capability to handle a powerful guardian breed.​When it comes to strangers, she can be unpredictable and can lunge at them if they get too close but she has never actually come close to biting anyone even when not wearing muzzle. Because she is so strong and protective, she must wear a muzzle around anyone she does not know. The good news is that she is already used to wearing a muzzle. However, once she trusts a stranger, she can be unmuzzled in the home around them, though she needs to be in a calm environment as she is very suspicious of sudden movements, as to be expected with this breed.​She cannot be around small children at all, so she needs a home with adults and older teens only. She does not like dogs or other animals and can be aggressive toward them. The only exception is that she gets along fine with poodles/spaniels.
