Description

Please read before messaging. I won’t be replying to messages that simply say ā€œIs she still available?ā€, ā€œWhen can I collect her?ā€ or similar one-line enquiries. She has a name – Rosie – and finding the right home for her is far more important than finding a quick one. If you’re genuinely interested, please take the time to read Rosie’s profile below and send me a thoughtful message explaining why you feel you’d be the right match for her. I’d love to know: * Your experience with dogs, particularly anxious or reactive dogs. * Whether there are any children or other pets in your home. * How much time Rosie would spend alone. * What a typical day would look like for her. * Why you think your home would suit her needs. Please write your message in your own words. I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t use ChatGPT or AI to write your introduction, as I’d like to get a genuine feel for you and your home. Thank you for understanding. āø» Rosie has been with me since she was a tiny puppy and is deeply loved. After my separation two years ago, I’ve done everything I possibly could to make things work, but I’ve finally had to accept that I can no longer give her the time, attention and lifestyle she truly deserves. This decision comes from love, not a lack of it. Rosie is an incredibly loyal little shadow. She is very much a one-person dog and will choose her person within the home, following them everywhere and wanting to be involved in everything they do. She won’t leave your side and has exceptional recall. You can leave the front door open and she’ll simply follow wherever you go rather than wander off. She absolutely adores her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. She is brilliant off lead, knows all her tricks (I sometimes think I should have entered her into Crufts!), and is clever, eager to please and full of personality. She loves water—although she’d strongly disagree with ever having a bath—and she’ll do just about anything for chicken or liver. Like many Cockapoos, Rosie can also be quite barky, particularly if she hears noises outside or someone knocks at the door. She takes her job of letting you know someone is there very seriously! While this is common for the breed, it’s something any potential owner should be aware of. Rosie can happily be left for a few hours in a familiar environment, but she isn’t a dog that enjoys being alone for long periods. She thrives on companionship, routine and feeling secure with her person. I want to be completely honest about her needs. Rosie has become increasingly anxious as she’s grown older and needs an experienced, patient owner who understands reactive dogs. She is not suited to a home with children or other pets and can be fearful of strangers, loud noises and unfamiliar situations. If she feels threatened, she may react defensively, so she needs someone who will respect her boundaries, advocate for her and help her feel safe. Rosie’s ideal home would be: * An adult-only household. * Quiet, calm and predictable. * Someone experienced in handling anxious or reactive dogs. * Someone who is home for much of the day, as she loves companionship. * As the only pet, where she can have all the love and attention to herself. I am in absolutely no rush and will only let Rosie go to the very best home. I will be asking lots of questions because this decision is about finding the right family for her, not simply rehoming her. If you believe you can offer Rosie the understanding, patience and lifelong commitment she deserves, I’d love to hear from you. Please tell me about yourself, your home and your experience with dogs. My heart is breaking at the thought of saying goodbye, but loving Rosie means putting her needs before my own. ā¤ļøšŸ¾ Please be kind. This decision has taken months of tears, guilt and soul-searching, and is being made entirely in Rosie’s best interests.
