I am looking to rehome my senior male rat. This is a heartbreaking decision for me, but it’s in his best interest. Unfortunately his brother passed away in august, meaning he needs more attention, however i recently had knee surgery and i can barely walk, meaning i can’t look after him like he needs anymore :( His name is Frank, he is the sweetest boy and has no health issues, he has never bitten anyone and is well handled. He does have thinning of hair on his back area, but this is just due to aging and the vet said it is nothing to worry about. He enjoys mealworms as an occasional treat, and is currently on rat foraging mix food, he has an amazing personality which will shine through once he gets used to you. I am looking for him to go to a home that has experience with rats as he is a senior, however as long as plentiful research has been done and he has the correct setup, i am happy for him to go to a loving home. PROOF OF SETUP IS REQUIRED!!! I am absolutely gutted to be doing this, but it’s what is best for him. And unfortunately no rescues have for back to me :( so this is urgent and my last hope.
