Description

We imported Raven, from Belarus, at 6mths old in December last year. Our life has changed significantly in that time and we do not have the time (or patience) that such an intelligent and loving dog such as Raven, deserves. She was imported with docked ears and tail and we have the vets papers to show it was done under general anaesthetic in line with the legislation at the time. We are awaiting her coming into season in order to get her spayed, so as of writing this advert, she is un-neutered. She has her full 5 generation pedigree and is from a well established show breeder of Doberman’s, she is also Microchipped and has been flea and wormed every 3 mths with Bravecto and Milpro. She is very healthy, her current weight is 29kg and she is fed on Wolf-Worthy biscuits (and as much cat litter and fox poop as she can hunt down!) We feed her a good diet, but she also loves trash. She does not have a discerning palette it would appear. She is a great family dog, we have children, my son is disabled and walks her easily on the lead. Off lead on the beach, -she’s never done any road walking to my knowledge (we live rurally) off lead, she has good recall, loves to chase the ball, frolicks in the sea, is good with other dogs and people, just an all around sociable girl who does not know her size, thinks she is a lap dog! I also breed cats (see profile) and she is good with them and the kittens, tho for some reason they all hate her. But she has never shown any aggression towards them, but she also doesn’t realise she almost 30kg! 😹 So why you may ask are you rehoming her and that is a fair question and I will be frank. We are terrible people. We do not have the time and patience she needs to entertain her mind, we can take her for a walk and tire out her body, but she is clever and smart, and when bored, which is often, she will destroy her beds, 6 so far.. So now she sleeps on a bare crate floor, then moans about it! But, she has never chewed the sofa etc, she has however chewed socks, teddies, bum bags, brand new sunglasses, again though, this could also be teething. Also, she HATES, birds. I think Raven, thinks she’s a gun dog. And we keep ducks. We have one less duck now, and I have repaired the enclosure for the ducks 4 times as she keeps trying to get to them. Also we are renovating our house, so not all things have places atm. She has relocated or ripped open more bin bags and litter bags, tool belts than I can count. Her toileting is very good. She doesn’t toilet in the house or where she shouldn’t. But be warned they are big logs, unless she’s eaten sea water, then they are liquid…💩 I genuinely am heartbroken 💔 about this, she’s a big daft softy, who people think is aggressive because of her ears, (which I have to say, if they were not docked, would have cost me a fortune at the vets cos Raven, loves the sea) and I know if you want a family dog and have time to give her love, affection and training and are better at maintaining any type of a routine, go hiking for days etc, she is going to be your dream dog. But for us at the moment, she’s a nightmare and a constant source of arguments. She has/comes with, her full pedigree certificate and ear health thingy for the govt/vets, vaccination card. Her Dryrobe, so if you have a matching one - bonus! Her last remaining Barclays dog bed, a full months supply of Wolf-Worthy, her lead & halti & any toys she hasn’t eviscerated. She was very expensive to import and buy, not to mention all the other expenses of caring for her so we are just asking for half of that really to ensure she finds a good forever home and someone happy to send the odd update pic, because despite my rehoming her, I do love her, but I know we are shit and she deserves better. Preferably someone with experience of the breed. Someone who can entertain her mind or give her a job that does that. Who can shower her with affection and attention, she is really very loyal and loving, which makes this so much harder. She hasn’t failed us, we have failed her. I have met other Dobermanns, and they are very naughty compared to Raven. We are the problem!
