3.5-Year-Old Male Dalmatian Seeking Experienced Forever Home
Due to a change in circumstances, I am sadly looking for a new home for my much loved 3.5-year-old male Dalmatian.
He is a loyal and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with his people. He can be nervous around new people and situations and may take a little time to build trust, but once he feels comfortable he is a real cuddle bug and loves being close to his family.
Because of his nervous nature, he would be best suited as the only pet in the home and would benefit from a calm, patient owner who understands that he may need time to settle and adjust. An adult-only home, or one with older, dog-savvy children, may be most suitable.
He enjoys his walks and is currently making good progress with his lead manners using a Halti, but he does still need on going training with this. Like many Dalmatians, he is intelligent (but sometimes stubborn) and responds well to consistent handling and positive reinforcement.
As an HUA Dalmatian, he has ongoing health requirements and will need an owner who is committed to managing these. He is on a prescription diet, takes medication, and requires regular veterinary monitoring. I am happy to discuss his medical history and routine in detail with serious enquiries.
This is an extremely difficult decision, and finding the right home is far more important than a quick placement. I am looking for someone who can offer him stability, patience, understanding, and the love he deserves.
