Description

Bob is a handsome, healthy four-year-old German Shepherd with a great deal to offer the right home. We are only rehoming him because our family is moving to New Zealand. He is bright, loyal, affectionate and playful. He loves fetching his ball, going for walks, learning and spending time with the family. He knows his basic commands and has good recall when calm. Bob has lived happily with our four children, aged 6–12, throughout his life. They are relaxed with him and can walk him in calm surroundings, although an adult takes over if another dog, vehicle or other trigger approaches. He is also comfortable when their friends visit the house. Like many German Shepherds, Bob is alert and can become strong and reactive around other dogs, passing vehicles or unfamiliar people when overstimulated. There have been two isolated mouthing incidents when he was highly excited or redirected, which we will discuss openly with serious applicants. He would suit a confident, experienced German Shepherd owner who can provide consistent handling, exercise and companionship. A quieter or rural home with a secure garden would be ideal, preferably with Bob as the only pet. A family home could be considered where the adults are experienced with large working breeds. In the right home, Bob will be an extremely loyal, rewarding and impressive companion. Finding the right home matters much more to us than the price. Genuine enquiries only.
