Meet Zeus – The most loyal, loving and handsome boy ever
He has been with us from birth going on fine years, however due to no fault of his own and massive changes in our circumstances we are now having to seek out a new forever home for our dear boy.
About Zeus:
Approximately 5 years old in by April
A large, chilled and sometimes goofy characters
with a big big heart and boisterous personality.
Zeus is loyal to a Tee and once he bonds with best believe he never leaves your side!
He does exhibit a lot of characteristics unfamiliar with Akitas, he loves playing with other dogs and humans (he just loves playing, period) extremely socialised.
Very gentle in nature generally, but can be grumpy when told off or is tired, that's when his stubbornness is at peak.
He is very affectionate, when he's in the mood for attention but has a very short attention span and can get bored easily so doesn't tend to play for long periods time unless it's with other dogs.
For those he bonds with, he listens with medium to high obedience depending on his motivation sometimes. Tends to follow guidelines set if you are in the vacinity, he's VERY intelligent so should never be underestimated, he always observes and learns silently and he can surprise you by the things he can teach himself just by observation. He needs loving authority, strong but empathetic guidance that leads firmly but with warmth. Responds highly well to affirmations and positivity.
Bright and eager to learn — he knows his basic and a few other cool commands and will perform a beautiful sit without needing a treat!
What Zeus Needs:
A home very experienced with the Akita breeds
Someone with confidence and authority
A loving environment to treat him like family not an accessory
Someone committed to continuing his lead training and managing his excitement around meeting new people and managing his high prey drive
An adult-only household preferably (due to his size and not having been exposed to many children in his life, mainly adults)
A home with no cats
Zeus has already been neutered, is fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is an amazing companion who just genuinely wants to give and receive nothing but love— he just needs the right family to help him shine even further.
