Description
We are looking to rehome our fawn French Bulldog, Percy. We rescued him just over 18 months ago from a very difficult situation. When we first brought him home, he was severely underweight, had burn marks, and had been living in poor conditions, confined to a kennel and often left in his own urine. He was extremely timid and frightened, to the point where his previous owner couldn’t even get a lead on him.
Percy was rescued alongside another dog, Blondie, who was fortunately in better condition and was rehomed quickly. Percy had been very attached to her, so adjusting took time. Since then, he has been living with us in a pack of 10 dogs and has made steady progress.
He will now allow strangers to approach him, as long as he can have a gentle sniff before being stroked. He is still a little wary on a lead, but he is a very loving dog who enjoys relaxing on the sofa in the evenings and having a cuddle.
Percy needs a patient, understanding home where he can continue to build confidence and receive the love, time, and care he truly deserves.
