Description

For rehoming This gorgeous boy is Oswald cobblepot. He is a beautiful black and cream long haired mini dachshund. He is on the large side of miniature but both parents were mini. He has a 5 generation KC certificate and KC registered ownership papers. He has been neutered and has no known health issues Oz is looking for a new home, he has been living in a multi dog household but I can tell he needs a quieter life. I think he would really like to be an only dog. He would be fantastic for a retired person with experience of dachshunds or for a family with older children, most of the time he is quite chilled. He is house trained but has access to the garden all the time so will need to learn to ask to go out. He is a clever lad and I’m sure he would pick this up fairly quickly, i have found this past year that he doesn’t like dogs when they have been to the groomers (so he definitely can not be with dogs that go to the groomers regularly) I have to separate him when my other dogs have been to the groomers for a couple of days, but we are moving to a bungalow due to health reasons and I will not be able to separate him at our new home. Other than this issue he Is the most wonderful boy. He gives the loveliest cuddles where he pops his head over your shoulder and tucks in as if he is trying to hug you back. He walks lovely on the lead but can be barky at other dogs he sees which is common for this breed. He does bark if someone knocks at the door. He has grown up with my daughter (she was 7 when he joined us) and has always been lovely and gentle with her. He has always been very gentle with my grandchildren who are 18 months & 3 yrs old but hasn’t been with little ones of this age full time so I would prefer him to go to a home with no young children. he has lived with an older child and would be fine with older gentle children. He loves water, a sprinkler is his most favourite toy and he will tap yout leg and look at it to let you know he wants the water on! He likes to carry it around when it is on as well as running through the water. He really is a wonderful loving boy, a fantastic character who would make a brilliant friend for the right person. I love him very much and I’m not looking to get rid of him. I will only let him go to a home that I feel is right for him. He really is an amazing boy and I will be incredibly sad to say goodbye. I just want him to be happy though and I’ve been feeling for some time that he would be happier as an only dog but hoping the issue was a phase and we could live happily ever after ! Please note: he is not up to date with vaccinations but is neutered and microchipped, he has no known health issues, his medical record will be available to his new person / family
