Description
This advert is for nymphs of Salpidobolus sp. ‘Gorontalo’, the rare Yellow Flash Millipede.
Nymphs are between 16 and 18 months old and vary in size from approximately 1” to 2.5”. They’re slow-growing, given their eventual size of 3.5”, by which time their colours are astonishingly bright and their bodies are quite chunky.
The species is fairly simple to keep and breed and thrives in the typical conditions millipedes should be provided: humidity ~70%RH, temperatures of 22-26C with a substrate composed of topsoil enriched with rotting leaf litter and rotten white wood. They also enjoy their cucumber! As with all millipedes, these must NOT be kept on coco fibre, as this leads to impaction and death in the long-run.
You’re unlikely to see much of them during the day, being completely nocturnal, but they are very surface active at night!
Prices vary according to size, with the smallest priced at £4/nymph, mid-sized at £6/nymph and the largest at £8/nymph. All are captive bred.
