Description
I am looking to re-home my 5-year-old male French Bulldog. We’ve had him from a puppy.
He is not neutered and has never had any diagnosed medical issues, although he has always struggled significantly with exercise tolerance. He gets tired very easily, often needing to be carried home from walks. He has also developed toileting issues in the home, which has become increasingly difficult to manage.
He is good with children, as we have two young children at home. He is also generally fine around other dogs and can become more engaged and energetic on walks when he sees another dog.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision for me to come to, and not one I have taken lightly. After a lot of consideration, I feel his needs are unfortunately no longer compatible with our family home and lifestyle, and that he would be better suited elsewhere. Due to our young children, we are a very energetic household and our dog prefers cuddling and roaming freely.
I am finding this decision extremely emotionally difficult, which is why I would ideally like the process to involve minimal owner involvement where possible. I also feel that, having made this decision, I would prefer for the process to move as quickly as possible if you are able to help, as prolonging the situation is something I am finding quite difficult emotionally.
