Here we have two gorgeous baby Panama Amazon Parrots, one male and one female, both exceptionally friendly, entertaining and beautifully hand-reared. Panama Amazons are an incredibly rare subspecies of the Yellow-Crowned Amazon, and they are not commonly available due to how difficult it can be to find genuine breeding pairs. Very few breeders have Panama Amazons, which makes these two babies a particularly special opportunity for anyone looking for an exceptional companion parrot.
Panama Amazons are renowned for their outstanding talking ability and are widely regarded as one of the strongest talking parrots within the Amazon family. In our experience, they can begin picking up sounds and words remarkably quickly, and many enthusiasts consider their talking ability to rival even some of the most famous talking parrots, including the African Grey. We believe the Panama Amazon has the potential to develop an incredibly impressive vocabulary when given the right environment, interaction and attention.
Both of these babies have been hand-reared from just 14 days old, meaning they have received plenty of one-to-one interaction from a very young age. They have been raised in a busy household environment and are already accustomed to children, dogs, cats, television, household noises and everyday activity. They are extremely social, curious and confident, making them lovely candidates for someone looking for a parrot that can become a genuine part of the family.
They are full of character. They love coming out to interact, climbing onto your hand or shoulder, playing with their toys and exploring their surroundings. They are friendly, playful and very entertaining, and both babies have developed lovely personalities through the amount of handling and socialisation they have received.
In appearance, Panama Amazons are absolutely stunning. They have a deep, vibrant green plumage, with a distinctive yellow crown above the head. As these babies mature, their colouring will continue to develop. At their young age, you may notice some darker markings around the beak, which are normal in young birds and can change as they grow older.
We also have the parents of these babies, who live outside in large, spacious aviaries where they have plenty of room to fly and exercise. They are healthy, well-established birds and are maintained on a high-quality, carefully balanced diet. We believe that starting with healthy parents and providing the correct nutrition and care from the very beginning is an important part of producing strong, healthy babies.
These two Panama Amazons are particularly special because we only have these two babies available — one male and one female. The male is the larger of the two, while the female is slightly smaller. Both are developing into wonderfully social and affectionate young parrots.
