Merlin is a truly special boy — loyal, affectionate, and happiest when he’s by your side. He thrives on human company and loves being fussed, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a proper four‑legged best friend.
❤️ Temperament & Personality
Merlin is a gentle, loving dog with a big heart. He’s very people‑oriented and bonds strongly with his humans. He’s great with children and enjoys being part of an active family life.
He’s bright, eager to learn, and loves long walks, exploring new places, and plenty of sniffing time. His recall is good.
🏡 Ideal Home
Merlin does not enjoy being left alone and becomes distressed, so he’s best suited to:
* Someone who works from home
* A retired person/couple
* A household where someone is around most of the day
We would prefer a local adopter, as we’d like to do a gradual, staged handover/transition to help Merlin settle smoothly and reduce stress.
He needs an active home that can offer exercise and lots of companionship.
🐕 Other Pets & Behaviour
Dogs: Generally gets on well with other dogs, though he can be a little lead‑reactive on walks. This is manageable with understanding and consistent training.
Cats: No cats, please.
Children: Great with children and enjoys their company.
